Zoopolitan Skybridge Goons is a freerunning lightweight rpg---sort of Zootopia crossed with Mirror's Edge.

It's 16 pages, with an easy to read layout.

The setting is an interesting mix of solarpunk, cyberpunk, utopian visions, and corporate overreach. Zoopolitan Administrative Region is a city made of multiple planned biomes, built in a wheel around a central hub, and threaded through with sky-bridges. These sky-bridges make freerunning not just possible but an efficient way to cross borders and escape pursuit.

ZSG's tone isn't always serious, and there's beats of absurdist humor in the writing. That said, it also asks you to set an age rating between G and R for your game, so it's very possible to lean in and make it hard-bitten and mean.

ZSG's mechanics are based on Tunnel Goons, and a basic roll is 2d6 + stat + edges vs 10. Characters gain more stat points and edges as they progress, but after a certain amount of progress, your next mission is your Final Run and you die or retire.

This setup gives ZSG a sort of hectic, fast-paced energy, and it's quite possible to take a character from starting out to their Final Run in a single session. Character death before then can't happen, so you always get to the payoff for whatever personal narrative you were building.

Overall, if you want to tell a story about exhilaration and tragedy, about living fast and dying (externally or internally) young, this is the perfect system for it. Honestly, I think ZSG could in turn be hacked to work with any high stakes passtime (drift racing, underground fighting, high stakes gambling,) and it would still be personal and intense.

If you want something short and sweet, character-driven, and easy to learn, I'd strongly recommend giving Zoopolitan Skybridge Goons a shot.
