Korean-language Ech0, and #OurShores!
Some exciting news!
First, trslave666 has kindly provided a Korean-language translation of Ech0, now available as a free .rtf download! Korean-speakers, please let us know if you have any issues with the file. I'd love to hear what you think!
Secondly, if you've followed my work for any amount of time, you may know that I'm just one of many RPG creators in Southeast Asia, sometimes collectively referred to as RPGSEA. In most of our home countries, we don't have access to Kickstarter as a funding platform, so it's just harder for us to bring forth our dreams and creations than it is in other countries.
OUR SHORES is going to change that. This Kickstarter project by Sandy Pug Games is an RPGSEA compilation of three unique games showcasing some of the best we have to offer. In Navathem's End, by Sinta Posadas and Pam Punzalan, you play Agents of a Tower in a cloud-dimmed world where old gods are awakening, and only your hubris can drive you to stop the Apocalypse. In Capitalites, by Samuel Mui Shen Ern, you collaborate with fellow players in a slice-of-life game about young adults finding their way in the big city, however messy and dramatic it might be. And - of particular interest to mecha fans - Maharlika, by Joaquin Kyle Vincent “Waks” Saavedra and Misael "Gio" Manning, is a game about technomystical knights who pilot giant saint-suits to fight for their ideals in a Starsea inspired by Filipino mythology.
The project has reached its funding goal, but as of writing this, it's still a few thousand dollars away from its stretch goal: to compile games from 9 more RPGSEA creators into a digital zine. I'm thrilled to be one of them! So if you'd like to see what further sci-fi journeys I have in mind, please back OUR SHORES and help us hit some of our stretch goals!
